Welcome to Touchline Fantasy
What the game is, how a season flows, and where to go next.
What is Touchline Fantasy?
A fantasy league sits on top of a real competition, such as the Premier League. One person, the commissioner, creates the league. Friends join with an invite code and each manages a team. Teams draft real players, choose a starting eleven for every matchweek, and earn points from what those players do in real matches.
Points decide head-to-head results, results build the league table, and between matchweeks you reshape your squad with trades, waiver bids and free agents. It is free to play: there are no entry fees or payouts.

Fantasy at a glance
Say you and eleven friends start a league that follows the Premier League. On draft day you take turns picking real players, and you might start with a star striker like (Manchester City). A little later you could add a midfielder such as or .
Each matchweek you choose which of your players start. When the real matches are over, everything your starters did, from goals and assists to clean sheets and tackles, is turned into points. Score more than the friend you are up against and you win that week, and take three league points with it.
Quick Tips
- Check your lineup every matchweek. There are no automatic substitutions, so an injured starter scores nothing and an empty slot stays empty.
- Set your lineup early. A player is locked once his match has begun, so you cannot move him in or out of your starting eleven.
- Fill your draft queue before the draft. If your pick timer runs out, the draft picks for you, starting with your queue.
- Keep an eye on the wire. A player who has just been dropped cannot be added directly: he can only be claimed with a waiver bid.
- Know your league's scoring system. A defender scoring a goal is typically worth more than a forward who scores one, so positions are not all valued the same.
- Plan your waiver budget. Winning bids are paid from it, and it can also be offered in trades.
